Playing with chalk

Thank Goodness for Pinterest.

Instead of giving into boredom and emptying my hulu queue today, I opened my DIY folder and chose a project. A few weeks ago, I pinned this post about hair chalking and thought, how hard could it be? Temporary rainbow hair color...count me in!

All you need:

-soft chalk pastels (NOT oil pastels)
-hair brush
-10-15 minutes

Just pick a few sections of hair and twist them (as shown in the article), rub the chalk on & brush out the excess.

Fun, right?

Oh, the Places You'll Go!

Hi guys....

So, we live in Colorado now.

My wonderful computer has completely crashed....again. So I will give a full update once everything is up and running. Also, please check out our new blog J&V in CO. A quick synopsis of the move so far: There's been a little drama, some mountain climbing, and lots of adventure. Loving it so far!

Lookie! I'm makin' stuff =)

I'm just gonna say it; I have been borderline depressed lately. Relationship meltdown + Best Friend Breakup + Potential Move to COLORADO (more on that later!) = Stressed out & just not in a good place right now.

So, what do you do when you need to de-stress? Bottle of wine? Calorie binge? (Or maybe that's just me...) This weekend I chose a healthier way to recoup. Have you joined Pinterest yet? It's my new favorite online addiction. This Saturday, I wrote out a supply list for a few projects I'd pinned and headed to Hobby Lobby. Craftiness ensued.
